It's Been 9 Years WHAT
A lot of things have changed since I started this blog in 2009.
1. I achieved my dream of being in the legal profession.
2. I have not yet finished Keeping the Casanova. (I'm determined to give it a happy ending.)
3. I upgraded my laptop. (From Windows to Mac.)
4. Busy as hell, but I just don't have the heart to keep my fanfic hanging, so the writing continues.
5. Watch out for the continuation of Keeping the Casanova. It will be posted solely at fanfiction.net and nowhere else.

I'M BAACCCCKKKK!!!
Like I promised, I'm going to give Yi ung and Ga Eul the happy ending they deserved through Keeping the Casanova.
And like I also promised, I'll start working on KTC again right after I finish my bar exams. And so, as proof, I present to you this little sneaky peak to Chapter 38. hihi
I'm so excited to be back to writing. It's been sooooooo long! I love the sound of the keyboard clacking and letting my fingers do the talking. =)
I will post Chapter 38 as soon as I reach my word count quota!
See you?

I Never Stopped Writing
Hi!
It's been a while hasn't it?
I apologize for the long absence and I assure you that my promise remains: I will continue writing Keeping the Casanova until the very end. Don't worry. We will get our happy ending in that story at least.
I've been absent for so many months that I feel I owe you guys an explanation. Aside from being busy in law school, the truth is, I never stopped writing. Aside from law school, writing has kept me busy (but it's not for fanfiction).
Truth is, last 2013 I've released a novellete on Amazon under the pen name D.R. Lee. It's called She Caught Me.
Under the same pen name, I've also submitted a short story called Picture Me Naked in a YA Anthology which was published in the Philippines. The same anthology was featured on a national daily newspaper (The Manila Bulletin). And last April 1, my story entitled Inappropriate Entanglement was exclusively released on Buqo (a mobile app).
I hope you understand that the other reason (aside from law school) why fanfiction has taken a backseat for me was because I've leveled up my writing and gave it serious attention.
I also hope that you support me in my writing endeavor despite the fact that this makes me write fanfiction a lot less than before. I've been writing for roughly 10 years now, and I've met plenty of people who gave me courage to pursue writing as a career. I'm taking baby steps to do so and I hope you understand.
This coming June 2014, I will be an incoming 4th year law student. This is, without a doubt, the hardest year in law school because this will determine whether I'll be fit to take the national Bar Exam to become a lawyer. I will be on hiatus from being a writer and blogger, and everything else will take a backseat as my studies will come first. Before that though, I aim to make use of my summer vacation (April to May 2014) to write for KTC as much as I can.
So then, let's enjoy our SoEul fandom, ne?

Kim Bum Dating + KTC Updates
BAD NEWS FIRST: My November began with a heartbreak.
I'm sure most of you have heard about the news of Kim Bum and Moon Geun Young dating. And I'm sure you also experienced the heartbreak that I experienced as a long-time SoEulmate who had been hoping and praying for years that Kim Bum and Kim So Eun end up together. Well, sadly reality doesn't always end up the way we want it to.
For my part, I just want to say that I've been a SoEulmate since 2009. I've been supporting them ever since, and I'm still here. I've made great friends because of the SoEulmate fandom, and a dating news isn't going to make me leave. So yes, I'm still a SoEulmate.
To get through these rough times, I just imagine that Kim Bum is only channeling So Yi Jeong, and that someday, he'll still end up with our Ga Eul-yang. It isn't easy, I know, but keep in mind what Ga Eul-yang said: "in order to be happy and stronger, we must endure several thousand degrees of heat." That's what I'm doing, and I hope you do it, too.
Now, unto the GOOD NEWS: Keeping the Casanova Chapter 35 and Chapter 36 have been posted on FanFiction.net. Here's the LINK.
I've been working over-time on KTC ever since I got a break because I have five final exams coming up, and I doubt if I'd have another break soon. To make-up for the months I haven't posted an update, I posted two chapters to tide you over until the Christmas break.
Since I know that the news about Kim Bum dating has broken several hearts, I also wrote a two-shot KBxKSE fanfic entitled Soulmates: a Behind the Reel Romance. You can read the first part HERE.
Don't be too depressed. Hope you stay safe and well. SoEulmates FTW!

Broken
Chapter 34 of Keeping the Casanova is already posted on Fanfiction.net~!
Author's Note:
I'm probably going to be hated for this chapter, but just to let you guys know, I'm the kind of author who's not afraid to let her characters suffer because as Chu Ga Eul so eloquently put it: a pot needs to endure several degrees of heat in a kiln in order to become stronger. Besides, a happy ending wouldn't be so satisfying if the conflicts are minimal, right?

The Price of Fame
Keeping the Casanova Chapter 33 is up on Fanfiction.net!
Link - HERE
The reason why it took so long for me to post this chapter was because I kept putting off finishing it. It's a chapter that makes everything I've written thus far spiral downhill. I'm sorry.

Don Juan's Downfall
Chapter 32 of Keeping the Casanova is already posted on Fanfiction.net.
Great news! Simply-Love, the new website for the SoEulmates, has launched their fanfiction archive. They're trying to rebuild the whole fanfiction archive from LU but it can only be done if the authors themselves post their stories. I decided to help out by posting mine. Hope you do take time to check it out~! =)
Also, if you guys are interested, I'm also on Wattpad now. I've opened an account solely for my originals, so I hope you can check them out, too. =)

KTC Chapter 31 + HELP NEEDED
So hey, I just posted Chapter 31 of Keeping the Casanova on Fanfiction.net. Link HERE.
I've been thinking about taking down KTC from Soompi Forums because it is such a hassle to post on Soompi, plus I don't have time to PM all the people in my PM List anymore. =/ I'm still thinking about it.
Anyways, BIG NEWS~!
So, earlier this year, I signed up for an online writing class under Filipino Author Mina V. Esguerra (Interim Goddess of Love, Fairy Tale Fail). She gave a lot of really helpful tips and was gracious enough to share her work process.
It has not been a secret that I've always wanted to be a published author. I'm currently working on an original story under her class. Part of the lessons in class is to look for a beta-reader to read my work and tell me what they thought of it.
Now, that's what I need the help for.
I'm looking for beta-readers who could work with me for several months. It would be great if any of you guys could help me. =)
And since I'm still a bum, the following are the only perks I can offer:
For those interested, please send me an email on shattered_teardrops24@yahoo.com (my email).
And please fill-up the following details:
Name:
Email:
Country:
Anything you'd like to say:
This set-up is going to be informal so there's no need for technical knowledge in the English language or grammar. I just really need someone who could read my manuscript and tell me honestly what they thought about it. I would also appreciate it if the beta-reader could give constructive criticisms. (Don't worry, I won't get offended!)

KTC Chapter 25 - Closer
Ladies and gentlemen, Chapter 25 of Keeping the Casanova is now up and posted on Soompi Forums, Fanfiction.net, AsianFanFanfiction and Lovers Unparalleled.
I wanted to write more for this Chapter but didn't want to keep the readers waiting because they've waited too long when I still had school to attend to, so I just ended the Chapter where I could end it and hopefully, I can post the next chapter soon enough.
Wish me luck! =)
And thank you so much for waiting, and for the support!
regards,
Shattered Teardrops

KTC CH.24
... is up and posted at LU, Soompi and FF.net!
Although this chapter is short, I hope you guys still read it. I'm still trying to break out of writing-dormancy.
Summer has the tendency to empower the lazy bum in people, and I happen to be one. Hee.
Whatever parts I left out in Chapter 24 will be made up by Chapter 25! I promise! =)
regards,
Dia

Milestones
*takes a deep breath*
First off, I know I have been absent for so many weeks and it's only now that I've surfaced from the cave I've been hiding. (If you happen to follow me on Twitter, you'd probably read the gruesome details of my life.)
My online life has been suffering too much ever since I got shipped into law school. (Hey! It's not my fault I've got to bleed myself dry in meeting my demanding academic life!)
BUT!
I update whenever I can... Which is rarely, but still... (Please understand... *pouts*)
Anyways, the reason I blogged is to discuss the recent "milestone" in my SoEul Fanfiction Writing career.
In Chapter 23 of Keeping the Casanova, I've finally written a love scene for the SoEul couple. Admittedly, it wasn't the first love scene I've ever written because I've also written an NC-17 fanfic featuring them (Art of Lip-Locking).
Along the course of writing the love scene in KTC Chapter 23, I tried my best writing it in such a way that wouldn't seem to obscene but could properly describe the things I've wanted to portray.
And it was hecka hard!
I found myself writing parts that I later on decided to be too graphic, and so, were scratched before the final version was posted unto the sites where I post my fic.
I wouldn't say it's fun writing the love scene because I was sweating buckets and nose-bleeding the whole time. But it was definitely one of those experienced that I'd say, contributed to my growth as a writer.
On a side note!
ANOTHER MILESTONE IN MY WRITING CAREER!!!
Last February 26, 2012, I found out that a story of mine posted on Soompi under a different pen name happened to win Best Comedy Fiction Of the Year 2011 under the One-Shot/Short-Story Category!
Last year, I decided to create another account on Soompi using a different pen name. The pen name Shattered Teardrops has been too associated with SoEul fanfics that I decided to create a different persona and pseudonym for my original fiction stories. And so, DaniFire was born.
DaniFire became the author of "She Caught Me", a young adult short-story featuring Seth and Laika.
The nomination and voting for Soompi's FOTY Awards happened during the last quarter of 2011. I knew of this just February of 2012. I'm so happy because I won despite the fact that I didn't do anything to promote my story and didn't even do anything to solicit votes from Soompiers.
This really brought a huge smile to my face. =)
Thank you!
And so, this blog ends here. =)
regards,
Dia
