Okay, well, somehow but not exactly.

First update, my graphic site Sinful-Indulgence, is up and running again. So, for those who want to request for posters just click on the link, read the rules and go request right ahead. =)

Secondly, I'm going to update Chapter 06 of Keeping the Casanova. A bunch of nonsensical words written and composed to make sense together. I pulled a few hours worth of sitting down just to type this update, minus the fact that I was distracted by a lot of things (FB, Email, my graphic site, etc.). Anyway, it's written and I'ma post it after this. teehee

Third, I wrote a bonus chapter for KTC. It's actually a story about how Yoon Ji Hoo met the woman he was meant to be with. And I gotta tell you, all this typing is killing me. I seem to be bugged out of typing lately. Oh, wells. I still have to work on my stories so I guess I just have to stick it out for a while.

Fourth, my friend just got home from Singapore and she brought me some kimonos! Yay! But I won't be putting my hands on them until I see her which is... I don't know when. LOL. I'm planning to organize a beach outing for me and high school friends. Good luck to me, then.

After this, I'm going to type some more because I have to conjure up an update for The Crimson Insignia. I honestly adore that fic so I have to take care of it while I have time. =)

You're welcome! I'm a Graphics Designer for the official forums for XLR8 and I sort of jump-started the promotion for them. hehe Besides, those guys are really down-to-Earth and approachable! They even spend time chatting with their fans through their Forum's Chatango and even Facebook. Too bad they've got Antis too. Hohum... Okay, so last April 17, that's last Saturday, I had the chance of attending an Anime Convention by United Arts Society. The best part of the Con? *grin* COSPLAY!!! No doubt!

I've got pictures of me and my friends with different cosplayers but meh... I'm too lazy to put them up. haha But it was really fun! I hadn't had much fun in a while since summer started. It was a pleasantly welcomed break from my monotonous couch-potato lifestyle.

One of the significant effects of this event?

It re-ignited my love for Anime!

So, now, I've been frequenting Anilinkz to watch Anime online. keke

I know, I know... This means less time to write and actually post an update. No worries. I haven't forgotten my responsibilities to my readers. I'll try to update tomorrow or within the next few days. Definitely within in this week. Okies? =)

Characters: Park Ji-Wan, Park Hye-Jin, Min Hae-Joong, etc.

Excerpt:

“For me, love is a like a chocolate avalanche.”

Chocolate because it’s pleasantly sweet and overwhelming,
Avalanche because it just suddenly engulfs you without warning.

Quite a unique yet most definitely appropriate description of love, don’t you think?

To be honest, this plot idea has been in my mind since 2008. I've actually written a few chapters in advance and kept it in my drafts. But recently, since I have much free time in my hands, I read it again and decided to revise it.

This time, I'm planning to write it in an unconventional format and writing style. I'm going to divide the story into Three Phases namely: I- The Turning Point, II- The Past, III-The Present. Each phase will have five chapters, adding up into a total of fifteen chapters.

This is going to be a light read, unlike TCI and KTC that's both full-length novels. Chapters aren't going to be so long and the whole story will be written in first person POV.

The main protagonist is Park Hye Jin, a twenty-four year old virgin.

I don't know if this plot is cliche but I still want to try writing it out somehow. I've already written the Prologue and the first two chapters of Phase I, but I won't be posting it yet, because I might be pressured to update and I still have three unfinished stories.

Oh, and yeah, I still don't have a title for it. haha I'm thinking of naming it "Chocolate Avalanche" but I don't know... It just sounds too Rom-Com to me. I'm going to brainstorm for the title in the next few days. =)

By the way, I'm thinking of abandoning my story entitled Ignominy. I don't know. I just don't have the heart to finish it anymore. It's saddening, really, but it's been so long, and I don't know if I can still finish it. It's still posted at Winglin and Soompi, but it's been more than six months since its last update. So yeah...

Hm.

The title signifies a closure for Ryou and Miharu. After writing this Chapter, I just don't know what to do about the tangled love triangle anymore. I mean, I'm a bit confused. I think I just made everything a lot more confusing than it already is. haha Silly me, right?

So, I was browsing through youtube earlier tonight. And I found a few very noteworthy videos of youtube artists that are really nice. Okay, so maybe 'nice' is an understatement. I really like 'em!

The video above is an english cover of Big Bang's Tae Yang's single entitled Wedding Dress. I've always wanted to sing that song but I'm not korean and I probably would sound like I'm singing something gibberish if ever I do sing it.

This cover gave me a chance to sing along with it. Plus, it has an mp3 download link! So, of course, I downloaded and it's been on repeat for a week now. Yes, that's how much I love their cover. Tommy C's voice sounds a lot like Tae Yang and I can just imagine Tae Yang singing it. I swear!

I've always been a fan of acoustic songs with the guitar and all. I even play guitar myself and yes, I compose songs too, but I never had the equipment nor the time to record and put them up for the world to see. hehe

Anyways, this is like one of the sweetest songs I've ever come across. The beat is catchy, the lyrics make me feel mushy like goo, and please, don't get me started on the singer. Kim SooYoon is only 21 years old but he's a sweetie pie! By the way, he also plays the drum and is actually, the official drummer of his unsigned band, The Royal Pirates, which brings me to my next video!

THIS is <3! I mean, whoah... I never imagined an SNSD song to have a rock version, and this just blew me away. Literally. It's perfect! Amazing how these guys can whip up something cutesy and girlie to something heavy and rocking!

Just... WOW.

I'm thinking maybe I should spend more time on youtube. The site has a lot of amazing videos and people to offer. haha

[Drabble + Daragon] A Secret...

I saw her singing by the center stage and could not help but be awed. She was sweating, panting profusely even, but she was smiling. The kind of smile that reflected how much she enjoyed performing; although personally, to me, her smiles bring nothing but enchantment and awe.

The claps of the appreciative audiences drowned my heartbeat, and yet, it was there; my heartbeat. The sudden gushing of emotions towards my chest, that sudden rush as if I was being chased and running for my dear life, that was how my heart went in rage. It was in secret, no one knew but me. Yet it was there.

As the lights fade and the music suddenly disappear into a low hum, our eyes met. And suddenly, there was just me and her. She smiled. I grinned. Within the dim confines of the back stage, our eyes locked. It was in secret. No one knew. Yet it happened. And it meant much more to me than I would have openly admitted.

I extended my hand for a handshake. She took it with a smile and bowed politely. I was still grinning, ear to ear, happiness overflowing. Did she know? That I was this happy every time I saw her? Did she know? That she was the reason for the sudden convulsion inside my chest followed closely by the unexplainable butterflies in my stomach?

Hmm... I wonder if she knew... Because this, again, was a secret. No one knew. Yet, it existed.

I opened my mouth to say something... Anything! Just to prolong whatever contact between us... Yet I was dumbfounded. What was I to say? Should I say, 'great performance'? Maybe 'congratulations'? A mere greeting? That won't be enough.

She broke eye contact and slowly retrieved her hand to end the handshake. 'No!' My mind screamed. I allowed myself a bit of liberty and allowed my hand to linger a bit longer with hers. She looked at me with a puzzled expression on her face as if asking 'What's wrong?'.

I grinned sheepishly.

The whole backstage was still in chaos. The other 2NE1 girls were still smiling, shaking hands and bowing with the other people at the backstage. Yet, there we were; she and me. We remained unnoticed amidst the ruckus.

"Sandara Park..." I uttered with a smile. Yes, I didn't call her 'Noona'. I never wanted to be her younger brother anyway.

I closed the gap between us to whisper into her ear. "Wanna know a secret?"

She looked confused and unsure. I never knew what was running inside her mind at that very moment. She could be thinking about a million of different things that I would never know about...

But this, I know for sure... and I grinned at her.

"I love you..."

It was a secret. No one knew. Just she and me. But it's true and it happened.

Ahhh... It's so nice to write a drabble every once in a while. My current fics are all written in third POV so this was a pleasantly welcomed break.

Actually, I'm going to be busy within the next few days even though it's summer here in the Philippines because it's my last year in my pre-Law course in College and this requires more effort at school. Plus the on-the -job-training that I was talking about in my previous posts has to be taken cared of.

I don't know when I'll have enough time to sit down and actually write a decent update for my current fics. To be honest, I've been finding myself exhausted towards writing. I mean, I get ideas but I just can't seem to concentrate.

Truth is, I've started writing the draft for the new chapters of TCI and KTC, but I haven't reached my minimum word count quota yet. Yes, I set a word count quota for myself and that quota is a minimum of 3000 words per chapter. This is to make sure that the readers get enough 'juice' from each chapter of my story.

I went to the mall today and met up with a classmate regarding our OJT. We talked briefly and then she left. I was left alone but I actually enjoyed my time alone being at the mall. Why? Because I was allowed to spend as much time as I like inside Book Sale! Yay! (Kinda brings out the inner geek in me, don't you think?)

I bought a book.

I bought a book entitled, "What If? Writing Exercises for Fiction Writers" by Anne Bernays and Pamela Painter. It's an old book and I bought it for only 86.00 Php! So cheap!

I started reading its introduction and stuff, and I think, I might just get something out of it. Teehee... It's nice to learn from pros. I mean, yeah, sure, I'm still hoping for a chance to get a work of mine published someday. A girl can dream, right? =)

Enrollment tomorrow.

By the way, I have to mention that being Seniors in College for the upcoming school year, our enrollment is just around the corner, plus, our OJT. Hn. Can't I have a break?! So, yeah, it means more busy time for me and less time for writing.

Thinking of changing my pseudonym.

It entered my mind that maybe, I needed to change shatteredteardrops into a more sophisticated and updated version of a pseudonym. Mind you, shatteredteardrops was my pseudonym since last 2004. You can verify it at my Fanfiction.net account. That was eons ago. I was a crappy writer then. Not that I'm not crappy now but, I think I've improved a lot since then.

I was thinking of changing it into a proper name, one with a first and last name, but I'm still torn about it. After all, I was known as shatteredteardrops for the last six years of my fanfiction writing life. And my accounts were all registered under shatteredteardrops or shattered_teardrops. It would be a waste if I suddenly overhauled everything, right?

Hm. I rant a lot.

This is what fans of the P-Pop Group XLR8 call themselves and yes, I am proud to be an A.FM!

XLR8 is a boy group signed under Viva Entertainments, composed of 8 members. They debuted only last March 2010 and has released their first self-titled album called 'XLR8' with the carrier single You're so Hot.

Here are the individual member profiles as released by Viva.

ADRIAN MUHLACH

Boasting hot looks and exceptional acting talent, Adrian comes from the family that brought us Aga Muhlach. Yes, because he is Aga’s younger brother.
Adrian, as an actor in training join in the newest boy group from Viva, XLR8. He is one of the boys that will leave us amazed after each performance as they exhibit the ultimate teen singing and dancing power.
Aside from singing, dancing and acting Adrian or AJ knows how to play the drums and guitars very well.
He also appeared in commercials like Poten Cee Vitamin C and Mama Sita BBQ Marinade Commercial, our talented hottie also dreamed of leading on a movie and get to work with his brother in a film someday—a dream he’s not so far from realizing.

ARKIN DEL ROSARIO

Arkin may have been the youngest in the group yet he doesn’t fail to give a ray of sunshine to every conundrum XLR8 faces along their way to stardom.

At 11, he discovered that he has good singing talent, as a matter of fact he would appear regularly on professional stage plays like Florante at Laura, El Filibusterismo and Ibong Adarna among others showcasing this to awed audience. One of them would be Geleen Eugenio who would eventually introduced Arkin to Viva.

This optimist and joyous lad believe that when people point out your weaknesses and makes fun of you, it’s an opportunity for you to rise above.

CALEB SANTOS

In every group, there always exist a guy who always lead the prayers, the one who gives hope to every struggling moment and believes that The fear of The Lord is the beginning of wisdom—in XLR8, it’s no other than the humble and truly inspirational, Caleb Santos.

Caleb discovered his musical talent at a young age and apparently been enhanced by joining church choirs and school bands dedicating his passion to the Lord. Aside from singing, we can also count on him when it comes to dancing and playing the guitars and drums—it’s something so admirable about this guy who can also leave you swooning for his killer looks.

A big fan of K-pop, Caleb believes that Filipinos can also rock hard and inspire the whole world. XLR8 is focused to give power-packed entertainment and inspiration and Caleb will definitely justify to that Filipino talent.

CARLO LAZERNA

Carlo has the creative mind who thought of naming his group XLR8. As a guy who believes that the best blaze burns the brightest when circumstances are at their worst, his creativity shines on their performance.

A pizza enthusiast, Carlo started loving singing at age 13 and would eventually appear at dance recitals and later on in Master Showman at GMA7. His musical influences include the King of Pop, Michael Jackson who he idolizes so much for creating a revolution in the music scene. He also is tremendously influenced by K-pop, J-pop and Anime Songs that he loves listening to as it gives him inspiration to conceptualize their own P-pop style.

FRANCIS RAMOS
a.k.a. Kiko

Francis Albert Ramos or simply Kiko just used to love dance competitions on TV, he didn’t know that this enthusiasm would lead him to showcase his own style and dancing power. The boy who loved every challenging episodes of America’s Best Dance Crew and So You Think You Can Dance can also be dubbed as the hyper lad in Viva’s prided boy group, XLR8.

Not only can he dance, this boy contributes a very energetic voice to harmonize with the rest of the boys and create such enigmatic energy in their performances. Belives in “No Pain, No Gain” mantra, Kiko would definitely give his best shot for the improvement of their group. We know that he will pull it off because of his natural love to music and dancing.

HIDEAKI TORIO
a.k.a. Aki

Height: 5’7’’
Weight: 140 lbs.

Hideaki has appeared in GMA shows like SIS, SOP, Sweetlife but he’s most commonly known as the Japanese singing hottie that loves to make witty and cute commnets with Master Showman, Kuya Germs in his longest running show Walang Tulugan.

As a struggling Japanese lad that made his way to the Philippine industry, did you know that he loves to study English and Filipino—his interest at par with playing guitars. Dubbed as the ‘pinakamakulit’ in the group, Hideaki or Aki didn’t find it hard to mingle with the boys inspite of the language barrier.

A big fan of Westlife, this guy is a walking package—he loves to dance and indeed an asset to XLR8. Believes that time is really gold, he also revels in the knowledge that there still are lots of honest and friendly people everywhere.

MELJOHN MAGNO
a.k.a. MJ

Meljohn or MJ is one of the Magno twins who definitely deserves the right to be in Viva’s newest boy group, XLR8.

At a very young age of 16, MJ know that he loves singing and performing in front of many people. Together with his twin MM, they usually perform in special family occasions to the amazement of their relatives and later on would take voice lessons to improve their craft.

His lokks can be widely associated with Korean manner but this 19 year old hottie love exhibiting his own style—as a matter of fact, aside from playing numerous musical instruments like drums, organ and guitars we can consider him an ace in composing new songs.

He has appeared in GMA shows like Sis, Walang Tulugan and All-Star K. Watch him rock the stage with the boys as he know how o give the best shot for this opportunity and he knows how to make good use of it.

MELMAR MAGNO
a.k.a. MM

His looks can be truly identical to his twin, MJ. Although they both made it to XLR8, MJ got his very own style to boast.

An optimist that loves dancing and playing musical instruments, MM has appeared into various celebrated shows like ASAP ’09, Wowowee, Tayong Dalawa, SIS, Master Showman, All Star K and The Buzz. A self-confessed showbiz addict, this guy got the looks and wit to make it to the business.

Started singing at the age 6, he was a veteran joining school competition that helps him improve his trade. Together with the rest of the boys, MM will make you swoon and want for more in every powerful performance.

Now, what I like about this group other than their stunning looks and talent is that they are also very humble, approachable and friendly. They freely interact with their fans and they're very down to Earth.

I, for one, have experienced chatting with Francis 'Kiko' Ramos on the Chatango of their Official Forum. They also frequently interact with fans on Facebook whenever they had time. They personally reply to questions and even leave comments on their fans' photos of them. They even goof around with their fans using the JEJEMON Language as they called it.

For a fan like me, it's a rare opportunity to be able to interact with idols. And since I don't reside in Manila, I appreciate the fact that the XLR8 boys use the internet to be closer to their fans. Now, you might say that the ones using Facebook could be mere posers but, I tell you, it's REALLY them.

They take time off their busy schedules to update fans about what they're currently doing. Adrian Muhlach even informed his fans that he wouldn't be able to reply to their messages on his Facebook page because he will be spending some time in Batangas with his family for the Holy Week.

I think, for us fans, it is things like this that really mean a lot to us because we feel as if we've grown closer to our idols and that, we feel as if, they're not just our idol, they're our friends as well. Other than being a performer and an idol, these things make us see that they're also people and that, fans can easily approach them and befriend them.

Personally, I find these boys adorable and I really hope that they do good in the industry. I'm hoping for more projects for them and although, I see a lot of bashers, I hope that they still come out strong and show the world what they've got.
